LSU junior wide receiver Chris Hilton Jr. will miss his third consecutive game due to an ankle injury, ruling him out for Saturday's matchup against South Carolina.
Hilton was anticipated to be a key player in LSU's receiving corps this season. Sources suggest he might return soon, potentially for next week's game against UCLA in Baton Rouge.
Known for his elite speed and ability to stretch the field, Hilton's absence has been felt in LSU's first two games. The Tigers are working to fill the void left by Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr., who were both drafted in the first round of the NFL draft in April.
Last season, Hilton caught 13 passes for 225 yards, showcasing his potential in LSU's ReliaQuest Bowl win over Wisconsin with three catches for 56 yards and a touchdown.
LSU currently stands at 1-1, following a narrow loss to USC in Las Vegas and a victory over Nicholls.
